When the Camping Kit Lets You Down — Quick Fixes

Gas runs out at 21:00. Fridge stops cooling. Tent zip jams. The real-world fixes that don't ruin the night.

    Gas bottle empties

We supply two — one main, one spare. Switch the regulator. If both empty, every fuel station along the route sells replacements (NAD 250). Total downtime: 30 minutes.

    Fridge stops cooling

Check dual-battery indicator on the fridge. If reading low — drive 30 minutes. If reading fine and still warming — phone the rental desk; we usually swap units within 24 hours.

    Tent zip jams

Common with new tents and sand. Rub a candle stub or lip balm along the zip teeth. Don't force it — you'll break the slider.

    Mattress deflates

Most kit mattresses are foam, not inflatable — they don't deflate. Inflatable ones in the premium kit: small repair kit in the side pocket, takes 5 minutes.
