    Namibia Destinations is a Namibia-based travel planning service that arranges 4x4 vehicle rentals, accommodation and activity bookings on behalf of travellers. This page explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

    What we collect

    • Contact details you submit through our enquiry forms (name, email, phone, country).
    • Trip details you choose to share (dates, traveller count, preferred properties or routes).
    • Anonymous analytics about how the website is used (pages viewed, device type, source of visit).

    How we use it

    • To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
    • To request availability and process bookings with our third-party suppliers (vehicle rental partners, lodges, activity operators).
    • To improve the site and our services through aggregated analytics.

    Sharing with suppliers

    To confirm a booking we share the minimum information needed (typically traveller names, dates and contact details) with the relevant supplier — for example a 4x4 rental company, a lodge, or an activity operator. Each supplier operates under their own privacy practices.

    Cookies & analytics

    We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use the site and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. You can opt out of analytics in your browser or via Google's opt-out tools.

    AI-assisted planning

    Our AI Trip Planner and AI Quote Builder use automated tools (large language models) to suggest routes, vehicles and indicative pricing based on the trip details you provide. AI output is indicative only — it does not confirm bookings, vehicle availability, campsite availability or final prices. A Namibia Destinations consultant always reviews and confirms the final proposal before any booking is made. The trip details you submit (dates, destinations, travel style) are stored so our staff can prepare your quote and improve our planning rules.

    Data retention

    • Enquiries and quotes: retained for up to 5 years for accounting and follow-up.
    • Anonymous AI chat sessions with no contact details: automatically deleted after 30 days.
    • Marketing opt-ins: retained until you unsubscribe.

    Your rights

    You can request a copy, correction or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by emailing reservations@namibiadestinations.comwith the subject line "Data request". We will respond within 30 days.
