    1. Day 1

      Arrive Windhoek

      Handover, supplies and a night in the city.

      Overnight: Windhoek

    2. Day 2

      Windhoek to the Kalahari

      250 km · 3 hrs

      An easy first drive south on tar. Red dunes, a sundowner drive and an early night.

      Overnight: Kalahari

    3. Day 3

      Kalahari to Sesriem

      380 km · 5 hrs

      West across the Naukluft escarpment. Gravel most of the way, with a long empty stretch — fuel at Maltahöhe.

      Overnight: Sesriem

    4. Day 4

      Sossusvlei and Deadvlei

      130 km · 1.5 hrs in-park

      Sunrise at Deadvlei, Dune 45 and Sesriem Canyon. A second night here means no packing up in the dark.

    5. Day 5

      Sesriem to Swakopmund

      350 km · 5 hrs

      Solitaire, the Gaub and Kuiseb passes, then the gravel plains to the Atlantic.

    6. Day 6

      Coast day

      60 km · 1 hr

      Sandwich Harbour or the Walvis Bay lagoon in the morning, town in the afternoon.

    7. Day 7

      Swakopmund to Spitzkoppe

      160 km · 2 hrs

      Short hop inland to the granite inselbergs. Arrive early enough to walk to the rock arch before sunset.

    8. Day 8

      Spitzkoppe to Damaraland

      280 km · 4 hrs

      North through Uis with Brandberg on your left. Twyfelfontein rock engravings in the afternoon.

    9. Day 9

      Damaraland

      120 km · Half day

      Desert elephant tracking in the Huab or Aba-Huab riverbeds, the Organ Pipes and Burnt Mountain, then a long slow sundowner.

      Overnight: Damaraland

    10. Day 10

      Damaraland to Etosha

      350 km · 5 hrs

      East via Khorixas and Outjo to the Andersson Gate. Afternoon game drive to the first waterholes.

      Overnight: Okaukuejo

    11. Day 11

      Etosha south and central

      150 km · Full day in-park

      Morning waterhole circuit, pan edge at midday, floodlit waterhole after dark.

      Overnight: Halali

    12. Day 12

      Etosha east

      130 km · Slow park transit

      Game drive to Namutoni and the Fischer's Pan loop.

      Overnight: Namutoni

    13. Day 13

      Etosha to Waterberg

      300 km · 4 hrs

      Out through Von Lindequist Gate, tar via Tsumeb. Afternoon walk on the Waterberg plateau — the last green thing you will see.

      Overnight: Waterberg

    14. Day 14

      Waterberg to Windhoek and departure

      280 km · 3 hrs

      Easy tar run back to Windhoek. Refuel, hand the vehicle back and fly out.
