Premium tier (~NAD 5,000–9,000 pppn)
Mowani, Camp Kipwe, Onguma Tented Camp, Little Kulala. Private decks, plunge pools, à la carte dining, guided activities included. Genuinely special.
Where the upgrade is worth it
Damaraland (one premium night here changes the trip). Etosha (Onguma over Halali for honeymoons). Sossusvlei (Little Kulala if you can stretch). The other stops — budget is plenty.
Where to never cut
The 4x4. A cheap rental on Namibia gravel ends one of two ways: insurance fight or breakdown. Spend on the vehicle and insurance, save on the lodges if you must.
