1) Sydney/Melbourne → Doha (Qatar) → Johannesburg → Windhoek. The fastest. 2) Sydney → Singapore → Johannesburg → Windhoek. Slightly cheaper, more comfortable in business.

27–34 hours door to door. Two recovery nights in Windhoek strongly recommended before driving. Skip and your first 3 days are a blur.

Australian winter (June–August) = Namibia's peak dry game-viewing season. Australian summer holidays (December) = Namibia's hottest, wettest, worst. Plan around your school year.
Visas (June 2026)
Australian passport holders currently enter Namibia visa-free for 90 days — Australia was not included in the April 2025 visa change that affected most European countries, the UK, USA and Canada. 6 months passport validity + 3 blank pages required. Always confirm current rules at eservices.mhaiss.gov.na before flying.
