    The two largest accommodation networks in Namibia have very different strengths. Here's where each one wins.

    Two networks dominate Namibian accommodation: NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) and Gondwana Collection. Most trips mix them.

    NWR wins inside the parks

    NWR is the only operator with camps inside Etosha (Okaukuejo, Halali, Namutoni), Sossusvlei (Sesriem), Waterberg and Hardap. Sleeping inside the park gate is the single biggest game-viewing upgrade.

    Gondwana wins everywhere else

    Reliable mid-range lodges and campsites surrounding the parks: Etosha Safari Lodge, Damara Mopane, Namib Desert Lodge, Canyon Roadhouse. Modern, clean, predictable food.

    The hybrid we book most often

    1–2 nights NWR inside Etosha + Gondwana on either side. Sesriem NWR for the Sossusvlei sunrise + a Gondwana lodge the night before/after.
